Form/Prim + Avant Garde Rap aus Ö

Nachdem mir form/prim aus Mainz vor einigen Wochen sein Album “Mal sehen, ob das ein Album wird” zum Durchhören geschickt hat und ich in letzter Zeit immer öfter über “Avant Garde” Rapper - ich nenn sie einfach mal so - stolpere, dachte ich mir, es wäre an der Zeit euch mal die zwei mir bekannten österreichischen Vertreter dieser “Szene” vorzustellen:

Zum einen wäre da mal Parkwächter Harlekin, der bei mir vor allem mit seinen zwei Videos zu Exil und Lohnend Eindruck hinterlassen hat. Vor wenigen Tagen wurde dann sein Album “Liebe” released, das auch im Vorfeld von Herrn Merkt hervorgehoben wurde. mehr auf: bornabirdinstead.net

Als zweiter Vertreter ist noch Aas der Basis zu nennen, der mit seiner Musik die Einöde seiner Heimatstadt erträglicher macht und versucht, der dort ansässigen Landjugend  neue musikalische Gefilde abseits des Trampelpfades nahezubringen: aasderbasis.at

Jetzt nochmal schnell zu form/prim.. der hat bereits einen beachtlichen Katalog an Tonträgern angesammelt.. Zu finden alles auf Bandcamp: formprim.bandcamp.com

Sein aktuelles Album “Mal sehn ob das ein Album wird” (auch via bandcamp hörbar) … “behandelt in chronologischer Reihenfolge die Auseinandersetzung und Beschäftigung mit der Frau…” aber hört am besten selbst..

In München geht jetzt “beatszenemäßig” auch endlich was.. Für den “Boiler Room Munich” (so nennt sich die Veranstaltungsreihe vorerst) hat man in der Blumenbar seine Heimat gefunden und beschallt ab sofort zwei mal im Monat die beathungrige Meute…

An diesem Projekt ist neben u.a. Jay Scarlett und Larkinandthesky auch tom2k und damit das Kollektiv ALLEZ BESTIMMT DIE MÄUZE beteiligt.. um die Jungs und ihre Arbeit mal vorzustellen gibts mal gleich was auf die Ohren…

FLAKO “MINI TOLLBOOTH” (Snippet)

‘Mini Tollbooth’ is inspired by a novel called Phantom Tollbooth. The film adaptation from 1961 is so beautiful. I like to get lost in these childish worlds of freedom, where everything is possible. This modern fairy tale is about a young boy named Milo who is bored by the world around him. He feels everything is a waste of time. He comes home from school one day to find in his bedroom an anonymous package containing a miniature tollbooth and a map of the Lands Beyond. He takes the map, drives through in his toy car, and instantly finds himself driving on a road to Expectations. Enjoying the ride, he pays no attention to his route and soon becomes lost in the Doldrums, a colorless place where thinking and laughing are not allowed. He is having plenty more adventures like watching Chroma the Great conduct his orchestra in playing the colors of the sunset or meeting The Awful Dynne, a genie who collects noises for Dr. Dischord. – fLako

Dürfte eine sehr gelungene Konzept EP werden. Heute übringes fLako und Swede:art im Nu Spirit Club in Bratislava. Für alle Wiener auf alle Fälle eine Reise Wert. Wers nicht nach Bratislava schafft, kann aber auch gerne bei der Minor Sick “Fremdscham in Reality” Releaseparty im Wirr oder beim Staummtisch, Abby, Kurt und mir im Luftbad vorbeischaun. Bis dahin.
