Nach langen Vorbereitungen können wir nun voller Vorfreude und mit einer gewissen Aufregung die offiziellen News verkünden: Supercity präsentiert in Kooperation mit vielen Freunden und Partnern das erste RUN VIE Festival in Wien von 5. bis 10. Oktober. 5 Tage, 8 Locations und über 25 Acts werden unter dem Namen RUN VIE zusammengefasst und sollen aufzeigen, was in den Nächten dieser Stadt geschieht.

JR&PH7 - Remix Contest Winner

Ladies & Gents..
few months ago we´ve given away the acapella of JR&PH7´s “Take It To The Streets ft. Iriscience & Planet Asia”  for a remixcontest. well it took us same time to take care of other things like e.g. RUN VIE - but finally we have dug ourselves through the files in our soundcloud dropbox.. one noticeably thing:  a pretty big part couldn´t handle the tempo / flow of the acapella, which is actually not the best attribute of a becoming beatmaker / producer.
anyway- there was one outstanding mix with a fresh beat, good arrangement and ideas and also an ok sound!
To make things short - the winner is young austrian beatmaker Kalifornia Kurt ! Congrats!

His mix will be on the JR&PH7 remix album alongside artists like fLako, Philta, Suff Daddy, Adlib, Brenk, The Clonious and many more! the digital release is scheduled for late 2009!

wer immer noch glaubt, minigolf sei ein sport für weicheier und kleinkinder, der täuscht gewaltig. minigolf, oder genauer “bahnengolf”, ist nicht nur ein sport für gentleman und -woman, sondern ein hochleistungsport im vollen ausmass. vor allem, wenn alkohol im spiel ist. supercity und das vice-magazin luden letzten freitag zu einem spitzensportevent der sonderklasse in den wiener prater, um den könig der bahnen zu kühren. sieger, verlierer und eine menge an emotionen gab es an diesem abend auf und neben dem platz zu sehen. also alles, was echter spitzensport zu bieten hat. aber sehen sie selbst…

It´s goin down! Die Herren und Damen vom Vice Magazin inklusive Entourage plus die versammelte Supercity Mannschaft
inklusive noch grösserer Entourage laden zum Society Sport Happening des Jahres! Der schicke 60er Minigolfplatz im Prater
(dort wo der Hermann Maier Spot gedreht wurde..) muss dafür herhalten, die antretenden Spieler sind bereits von einem fachkräftigen Gremium ausgewählt worden!
Was natürlich bei der ganzen Sache ein Muss ist, wären da begeisterte Anhänger, die sich dieses Chaos nicht entgehen lassen wollen. Für laute musikalische Beschallung, kaltes Bier und (wer früh kommt) gratis Vodka von 42below ist gesorgt!
Beginn: 20.00!

Brenk & Mc Eiht

Big news from Kaisermühlen´s finest Brenk! Some time ago we had his first collaboration with westcoast legend MC Eiht online, and it turns out that the Kaisermühlen-Compton connection just kept growing after that. Apparently, Brenk handles the bulk of the production on Eiht’s coming album “The Blacclist“, which is supposed to materialize towards the end of the year via Blue Stamp Music (named after a Brenk beat) and Year Round Records. If the latter isn’t clue enough for you, this of course means DJ Premier is involved too - in fact he’s the only other producer on the record. Damn! Brenkie boy all the best from the supercity crew!
